Corporate Reporting

Bringing our ideas to life

It's easy for all stakeholders in the corporate reporting supply chain to knock existing models, but more useful to propose alternatives. Through collaborative efforts with preparers, users and other interested stakeholders we aim to leverage our extensive research and understanding of reporting practices in order to develop practical ideas for improving disclosure and presentation of information.

Report Leadership

Report Leadership, a multi-stakeholder group, aims to challenge established thinking on corporate reporting. PricewaterhouseCoopers is working with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and Radley Yeldar to develop simple, practical ways to improve narrative and financial reporting.

Key initiatives to date include developing practical ideas on how to improve:

  • narrative and financial reporting in annual reports
  • executive remuneration reporting and
  • online reporting.

Each initiative reflects input and feedback from a range of investors.

Find out more about each of these initiatives.

Shareholder friendly report

In the Shareholder friendly report, our Australian Practice worked with the Australian Institute of Company Directors to develop a short proforma performance report designed to encourage clearer communication with retail shareholders.

Corporate responsibility is emerging as one of the most important political, cultural and business issues of our team. From the corporates perspective it increasingly pervades everything they do from their strategic decision-making to their underlying processes and ultimately external engagement/reporting.

This report builds on the Report Leadership initiative and provides practical ideas on how companies can communicate to key stakeholders the value of their company's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and performance.
