Corporate Reporting: The Competitive Landscape

2007 saw the fifth anniversary of PricewaterhouseCoopers Building Public Trust Awards which celebrate the best corporate reporting in the UK's FTSE 350 and Public Sector across a range of categories. ‘Corporate Reporting: The Competitive Landscape’ collates all the valuable insights gleaned from our detailed awards review, and includes extracts from some of the companies we felt demonstrated best practice reporting.

The compendium provides a section on each award area – Overall reporting in the FTSE 350 and Public Sector, and the reporting of Tax, Measures of Success, Pensions and Executive Remuneration in the FTSE 350. Each section outlines the specific areas of disclosure we look for, highlights findings from our review, and offers recommendations for improvements in reporting. To bring each area alive we also include some extracts of best practice reporting.

In addition to the award sections, we have also monitored the reporting of people, corporate responsibility and economic performance and provided insights into these areas of increasing relevance for companies.

Finally the document also includes views from PwC experts on what they believe the future will hold for reporting in their particular area of interest and the possible challenges companies may face.
